프랑크 푸르트 도서전에 전시하기위한 탄탄스토리하우스 모형(상하)-이후에 베르린 그라츠 등 많은 독일의 도시에서 전시를 하였다.

탄탄스토리하우스 설계소묘

탄탄스토리하우스는 파주출판도시와 심학산 경계에서 어린이들을 맞이하고 있다. 6섹터에 위치한 대지는 심학산을 향해 시선이 트여있고 출판도시의 주 진입도로를 향해서도 열려있으며 거젤 유형으로 비교적 형태가 자유로울 수 있다. 매스의 단순함은 도시의 흐름에 순응하고 있지만 섬세한 각도로 틀어진 결합은 이 곳을 특별하게 만들어준다. 1,2층의 공연장과 3, 4층의 전시장에서 어린이들은 한국가드너에서 출판한 여러 동화책들의 삽화를 보고 들으며 주인공과 만날 수 있다. 초고속 인터넷과 게임에 노출된 현대사회의 어린이들은 서로를 스쳐 지나가고 관심을 기울이지 않는다. 그러나 이 곳에 온 어린이들은 '서로를 만나고' '서로와 교류하며' '누군가의 이야기를 들어주는' 새로운 경험으로 그들의 감수성을 발견할 수 있다. 느리고 길게 걷고, 무언가 불확실한 공간을 느끼고, 관통하는 시선으로 경관을 즐기며, 예상치 못한 공간의 조화를 통해 급속한 시대를 살아가는 어린이들이 그들에게 잊혀졌던 정서를 조금이나마 보상 받게 되는 것이다. 방철린記
